Welcome to Attorney General Mike Cox's
Settlement Center Webpage
Every year, the
Michigan Department of Attorney General handles an estimated 60,000 cases. Many
of those cases result in recoveries for the State of Michigan.
This website
will allow citizens to view individual settlements representing more than $1.8
billion in recoveries for the State of Michigan and more than $41 million in
recoveries for consumers.
Please feel free
to click on the link below to open up a spreadsheet of all the settlements and
links to the original settlement documents.

This website will continue
to be updated with PDF documents dating back to 2003 as well as future
settlements.
In
addition to the $2 billion listed above, the office has also saved taxpayers $2
billion as a result of Attorney General Cox's office intervening in energy rate
cases, and saved seniors approximately $97.5 million initially with an
additional $69.6 million savings every year afterwards by intervening in a
Medigap rate hearing. The Attorney General's office has also recovered nearly
$70 million in child support recoveries for children across
Michigan, millions of dollars in tax cases, millions of dollars in "SCFRA"
cases involving prisoners, and millions of dollars worth of remediation and
corrective actions addressing environmental harm.
The site is
limited by available technology and resources offered by the State of Michigan.
Attorney General Cox has called on the Governor and legislature to invest in
technology to make Michigan more transparent and user friendly.
