DNRE Director Named, Transition Report Lays Framework for Streamlined Agency

On October 8, 2009, Governor Jennifer M. Granholm issued Executive Order 2009-45 which will eliminate the Departments of Environmental Quality and Natural Resources to create the Department of Natural Resources and Environment. On January 13, 2010, Governor Granholm named Rebecca Humphries as director of the new DNRE, and the transition report was released.
