EMS LEGAL AND REQUIREMENTS AND UPDATES
Part 4.3.2 of the ISO 14001 environmental standard requires: “The organization shall establish and maintain a procedure to identify and have access to legal and other requirements to which the organization subscribes, that are applicable to the environmental aspects of its activities, products or services.”
By regularly accessing the following links to legal requirements and updates, a facility should have the procedure in place to satisfy the ISO/EMS requirement cited above.

The Michigan Manufacturers’ Guide to Environmental and Safety and Health Regulations is a guidebook developed by MDEQ and the Michigan Department of Consumer Affairs to identify environmental regulations, Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Act (MIOSHA) regulations, and construction and fire codes applicable to manufacturing facilities.
