Michigan Household Hazardous Waste Collection Initiative
 
The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) provided Michigan communities a total of $1,000,000 in grants for implementing Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collections. Eligible projects focused on establishing HHW collection facilities, HHW management, and disposal activities.

Currently, six projects are underway and grant agreements for five projects are being developed.  See below for a link to an update of what has been accomplished to date.
