The Department of Environmental Quality has been charged with creating a Michigan Green Chemistry Roundtable (Roundtable). Roundtable members were appointed by Director Steven Chester and will assist the DEQ in the implementation of Governor Jennifer M. Granholm's Executive Directive number 2006-6 (Directive), "Promotion of Green Chemistry for Sustainable Economic Development and Protection of Public Health." The Roundtable consists of approximately 20 members, representing public health, industry, environment, local government, the general public, and economic development. The DEQ appointed the Roundtable in May 2008.
The Roundtable meets quarterly to discuss policy issues as the Directive moves forward and to review the work of the Green Chemistry Program. Roundtable meetings are open to the public. Details such as the meeting agenda, meeting summaries, and the names of the Roundtable members are posted below.
