Michigan Department of Human Services (DHS) director Marianne Udow has announced the appointment of Mark Stevens of Bay City as director of the Isabella/Midland DHS effective June 6, 2005.
"Mark has demonstrated strong leadership skills throughout his more than 30 years as a department employee," Udow said. "I am confident that, as director of the Isabella/Midland DHS, he will continue to provide quality leadership."
As director of the Isabella/Midland DHS, Stevens will be responsible for administering federal cash assistance and food assistance programs, as well as child welfare and adult services programs.
Stevens holds a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University. He is married and is the father of three sons.
