Davison resident Geri Pasheek has earned a "Star" award from Michigan Department of Human Services.

Pasheek, an administrative services manager with Genesee County DHS McCree District in Flint, was one of five department employees and three teams of employees from around the state honored for good work, teamwork and providing quality service. Pasheek received the department's "Star" award during a ceremony in Lansing Feb. 27. Pasheek has worked for DHS for 23 years.

"Geri is dedicated to providing excellent customer service," said Department of Human Services Director Marianne Udow. "She is a wonderful ambassador for DHS treating customers with dignity and respect."

The Star Award program is an annual employee recognition program started in 2007. Award winners were nominated by peers and/or managers.
