| Michigan's Freedom of Information Act |
|
The Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides all persons except those incarcerated in correctional facilities with access to public records. Requests to inspect or receive the Department of Human Services (DHS) records must be in writing, and must describe the requested records with enough detail that DHS can identify them. You will receive a prompt written response to your request which will either grant your request or explain why part or all of it cannot be granted. A fee might be charged for processing your request.
Send all public record requests to:
Department of Human Services
P. O. Box 30037
Lansing, MI 48909
