Note: Beginning in 2008, the elk and bear application period is May 1-June 1.

Elk
Seasons:
2008 Hunt Period 1: August 26-29 AND September 12-16 on both public and private lands in elk management unit L. See 2008 Elk Management Units L - August-September Hunt for a map.
2008 Hunt Period 2: December 9-16 on both public and private lands. See the map 2008 Elk Management Units - December Hunt for specific management units.
2008 Hunt Period 3: This hunt would be held January 15 - 19, 2009, only where additional harvest is necessary to achieve population management goals.
