SPECIAL LOCAL WATERCRAFT CONTROLS - DELTA COUNTY

 CAMP 7 LAKE - R281.721.1 - Hours for high-speed boating and water skiing.

1. On the waters of Camp 7 lake, township of Garden, county of Delta, state of Michigan, no operator of nay motorboat, during the period from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. of the following day, shall:

(a) Operate such motorboat at high speed, which means a speed at or above which a motorboat reaches a planing condition.

(b) Have in tow, or otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance.

  FORD RIVER AND GREEN BAY ADJACENT TO ITS MOUTH - R281.721.2 - Slow--no wake speed.

2. On the waters of the Ford river, section 15, 16, and 21, town 38 north, range 23 west, township of Ford river, county of Delta, from the west line of the southeast 1/4 of the northwest 1/4, section 15, town 38 north, range 23 west, downstream and 300 feet in any direction from the mouth of the river in Green bay, an operator of a vessel shall not exceed a slow--no wake speed, which means a very slow speed whereby the wake or wash created by the vessel would be minimal.

  SKEELS LAKE - WC-21-96-001 - Slow--no wake speed.

On the waters of the channel connecting Skeels and Corner lakes beginning at a point on its east boundary at a point where the channel intersects the east line of section 1, thence at a line from the west boundary of the channel which lies 842 feet to a point where this line intersects the water and continues acress the channel of section 1, town 43 north, range 19 west, Nahma township, Delta county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow--no wake speed.

The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.

  WHITEFISH RIVER - WC-21-98-001 - Slow—no wake speed.

On the waters of the Whitefish River, from the landmark commonly referred to as the Railroad Bridge, which lies downstream of US-2, for a distance of 700 yards downstream, all within section 28, town 41 north, range 21 west, Masonville township, Delta county, state of Michigan, it is unlawful for the operator of a vessel to exceed a slow—no wake speed.

The boundaries of the area described immediately above shall be marked with signs and with buoys. All buoys must be placed as provided in a permit issued by the Department of Natural Resources and be in conformance with the State Uniform Waterway Marking System.
