OIL AND GAS LEASE AUCTION held on May 1, 2008: A total of 149,548.02 acres of state-owned minerals were offered for lease. There were 22 successful bidders out of 32 registered. The total of 149,548.02 acres bid in are proposed to be leased within 16 counties. Of the total acres bid in, 67,323.00 acres are classified as development and 82,225.02 are nondevelopment.
