Whereas, The future of our communities depends on the quality of today’s early childhood education supplied to Michigan’s children; and,

Whereas, It is vital that all children are exposed to an excellent preschool education in order for them to have the ability to fully reach their potential and contribute their services to the communities of Michigan; and,

Whereas, The work of the Michigan Council of Cooperative Nursery Schools is an excellent guideline for the citizens of Michigan, for their children and the education that will make these children successful; and,

Whereas, Celebrating Parent Cooperative Nursery School Week will assist Michigan’s families and communities in learning how early education and experiences effect tomorrow’s adults; and now therefore be it,

Resolved, That I, Jennifer M. Granholm, Governor of the State of Michigan, do hereby proclaim the week of April 20, 2003, Parent Cooperative Nursery School Week in Michigan.
