Who can I contact about consumer protection issues?

The Attorney General’s office is charged with protecting the citizens of the State from prohibited business practices and ensuring that State officials perform their duties according to the law. Who should I contact with an automobile consumer protection issue?

The Bureau of Automotive Regulation (BAR), under the Secretary of State, works to ensure that consumer issues concerning automobiles are addressed according to the law and that the appropriate steps are taken when violations occur. For further information please call the Bureau at 1-800-292-4204.
