Shock Wave Therapy Update The Office of Racing Commissioner (ORC) is responsible for protecting the integrity of horse racing in Michigan and guarding the health and safety of the horse. Extracorpeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) and Radial Pulse Wave Therapy Shock (RPWT) are similar treatments used by veterinarians to treat orthopedic problems such as bone fractures and navicular disease.
