LANSING, April 16, 2008 - He took a $410 win and
Kicked it up to $12,300!
Leo Urban of Mason wagered $10 per draw
and had a 3X Kicker to multiply his 5-Spot win. He matched all five numbers in a
Club Keno drawing on March 29.
The lucky player has been playing the Lottery for
six years and used birthdates to select his own pick numbers. He plans to use
the prize money to travel.
The winner purchased the ticket at Mason Jar
Pub & Grub, 160 W. Maple, in Mason.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and
win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets
can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by
matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The
more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery
tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state
School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year
2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in
1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in
Michigan.
