LANSING, April 18, 2008 - A Flint woman is
the lucky winner of a $20,010 prize!
She played the Club Keno game and matched
all seven numbers on a 7-spot game and three of seven numbers on a different
game on the same ticket to win. The prize would normally be $2,001, but Tami
McIntosh bet $10 a draw and multiplied her prize to a whopping $20,010!
The regular Club Keno player picked her own
numbers based on birthdays and plans to use the prize money to pay bills. She
enjoys coaching basketball in her free time.
McIntosh purchased the lucky winning ticket at
The Odyssey of Flint, 7039 N. Dort Hwy., in Flint.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play
and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and
tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno
by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.
The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery
tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state
School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year
2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in
1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in
Michigan.
