LANSING, April 25, 2008 - A Novi man hit
the top prize in the Michigan Lottery's Daily 4 evening drawing on April
23 when the numbers 0329 were drawn.
Anthony Yono had purchased 45 tickets for that
evening's drawing. When his numbers came in, each ticket was worth $5,000,
giving him a prize total of $225,000. He visited the Lottery's
headquarters in Lansing to claim his prize.
Yono purchased the lucky winning own pick tickets
at Top Fuel Sunoco, Inc., 29801 W. 9 Mile Rd., in Farmington Hills.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery
tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state
School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year
2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in
1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in
Michigan.
