LANSING, October 18, 2004 – The lucky winner of the first fantasy five jackpot, which was split three ways, was
claimed by a Grand Rapids man. His winnings totaled $67,383.
The ticket was purchased by the avid lottery player at Rockford C-Store, 66 E. Bridge St, in
Rockford.
The lucky married man plans on paying bills with his winnings.
Fantasy Five is the Michigan Lottery’s newest game, which replaced Michigan Roll Down. Drawings for the
game are held seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through
12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.5 million.
