LANSING, October 5, 2004 – Luck struck a Great Lakes Downs employee when she won
$10,004 playing Club Keno.
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said she has only been playing the Lottery for about
two months. She purchased her winning ticket at Great Lakes Downs, 4800 Harvey Street, in Muskegon.
When she scanned her ticket and the computer instructed her to see a Lottery representative she,
"almost had a heart attack."
The winner hid the ticket in her purse and says she doesn’t have plans for the money,
yet.
Club Keno is a fun, fast, continuous action game with drawings every five minutes. Players
can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno
by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player
wins. Club Keno drawings take place seven days a week, every five minutes, from 6:05 a.m. to 1:45 a.m.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports
kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.5 million.
