LANSING, November 1, 2004 – A lucky 56-year-old Lansing man is $20,000 richer, thanks to the
Michigan Lottery’s Club Keno game. The man, who opted to remain anonymous, matched all eight numbers in the 8-spot game.
He wagered $2 a draw, which doubled the prize amount to $20,000.
The winning easy pick ticket was sold at Tony M’s, 3420 S. Creyts Rd, in Lansing.
The lucky Lansing man was in disbelief as he read the numbers on the screen and discovered he had won
$20,000. He has no special plans for the money.
Club Keno is a fun, fast, continuous action game with drawings every five minutes. Players can wager $1,
$2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching
some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more the numbers matched, the more the player wins. Club
Keno drawings take place seven days a week, every five minutes, from 6:05 a.m. to 1:45 a.m. Club Keno celebrated its 1 year anniversary
during the month of October.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through
12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.5 million.
