LANSING, December 29, 2004 – A very lucky Saginaw
man couldn’t believe it when he scratched his winning Cashword Instant ticket to reveal it was a
$35,000 winner.
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he plans to spend his winnings on a vacation.
The retired GM employee said he had to have his family check and double check
the ticket before he believed it was a winner.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Cass River Market, 4013 East Rd.,
in Saginaw.
Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.5 million.
