LANSING, February 2, 2005 – The much anticipated April 10, 2004
$3.8 million WinFall jackpot has been claimed! The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, was ecstatic when Lottery officials presented the check.
The lucky winner claimed the large jackpot just in time because the ticket would have expired on April 10, 2005. All prizes must be claimed no later than one year after the drawing date on the ticket. Any unclaimed prize amount reverts to the School Aid Fund.
The winning ticket was purchased at Tania’s Pizza & Party Store, 3204 Crooks
Rd., in Royal Oak.
WinFall drawings are conducted three days a week – Monday, Wednesday and Saturday - at 7:29 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available at thousands of Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
