Fantasy 5

LANSING, February 3, 2005 – A long time Lottery player from Flint split the February 1, 2005 Fantasy 5 prize with one other lucky player to result in a prize worth $150,139!  This is the largest prize the 49-year-old married car salesman has ever won.

When the winner checked the ticket at his local retailer, the clerk was more excited than he was!  He hid the lucky ticket in his wallet before redeeming it at Lottery Central in Lansing.  The anonymous winner has two plans for his prize money – pay his bills and invest the rest.

The lucky easy-pick ticket was purchased at The Works Party Store, 4500 W. Pierson Rd., in Flint.

Fantasy 5 is the Michigan Lottery’s newest game, which replaced Michigan Roll Down.  Drawings for the game are held seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
