LANSING, January 30, 2002 – Ivan Toth of Birmingham
is rolling in dough after matching all five numbers in the January 25 Michigan
Rolldown drawing to win an $18,668 jackpot prize! That day’s winning
numbers were: 1, 4, 6, 12 and 20.
In total for the January 25 Michigan Rolldown
drawing, there were 20,732 winners who shared $63,249 in prizes. In addition to
the sole jackpot winner, there were 88 winners who matched four numbers for a
prize of $87; 2,326 winners who matched three numbers for a prize of $8; and
18,317 winners who matched two numbers for the $1 prize.
The 64-year-old winner, who works as a builder,
purchased the winning Michigan Rolldown ticket at Barry Drug Company, 32184
Woodward Ave., in Royal Oak. The winner said he chose his winning number
combination based upon the birthdays of family members.
Toth said he realized he had a winning ticket
after hearing the winning numbers on the radio. He added that he kept the
winning ticket in a strong box prior to turning it in at the Michigan Lottery’s
regional office in Sterling Heights. Toth said he has not yet decided what he
will do with his winnings.
Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held
Monday, February 28, 2000. Drawings are conducted six days a week – Monday
through Saturday – at 7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets
