LANSING, March 15, 2005 – Gordon Schaible of Grayling was very surprised when he discovered he had won
$55,126, half of the $110,250 Fantasy 5 jackpot on March 11.
Schaible, who plays the Fantasy 5 game six days a week said he plans to buy a new truck to pull his new camper. He has been playing the Lottery “since the beginning” and said this is his largest prize to date.
The winning ticket was purchased at Glen’s Market, 2470 S. 1-75 Business Loop,
in Grayling.
Fantasy 5 is the Michigan Lottery’s newest game, which replaced Michigan Roll Down. Drawings for the game are held seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
