LANSING, March 29, 2005 – A very lucky man from
Bay City was in disbelief when he won $10,000 from Club Keno. The winner matched all eight numbers in the 8-spot game to give him the top prize.
The retired 74-year-old man hid the easy pick ticket in his wallet before cashing it in at a Lottery regional office. He purchased the ticket at
Whyte Goose Inn, 108 State St., in Bay City.
Club Keno is a fun, fast, continuous action game with drawings every five minutes. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more the numbers matched, the more the player wins. Club Keno drawings take place seven days a week, every five minutes, from 6:05 a.m. to 1:45 a.m.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
