LANSING, March 31, 2005 – A very lucky retired St. Johns man was a big winner in the Michigan Lottery’s
Cashword Instant game. The man cashed in on the top prize of $35,000!
The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he was “elated” when he scratched the ticket to reveal it was a big winner.
The lucky Cashword winner plans on doing three things with his winnings: pay of a few bills, take a vacation and put the rest of the prize money in his savings. The lucky man enjoys fishing, hunting and golfing in his free time.
He purchased his winning ticket at Country Store, 1101 E. State
St., in St. Johns.
Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
