LANSING, July 1, 2005 – A longtime Lottery player from Saginaw was up all night after he realized he had won $105,000 playing Fantasy 5.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he checked his numbers on TV and after writing the numbers down and second guessing himself a few times, stayed up until 5:00 a.m. trying to let the information sink in.

He plans to use the money to travel south, “Cancun, Bermuda, Hawaii, I want to vacation, all the places you hear about.”

The winning easy pick ticket was purchased at 1 Dollar Bargain, 3787 N. Michigan Ave., in Saginaw.

Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2004, the contribution was $644.8 million.
