LANSING, January 6, 2006 – A very lucky Haslett man won big when he matched all eight numbers on an eight-spot Club Keno ticket.  The win usually pays out $10,000, but since he wagered $10 per draw, the prize was multiplied to $100,000!

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, has been quite lucky since he started playing Club Keno about a year ago.  He has won several smaller prizes and this prize is his largest to date.

Before cashing his ticket, the winner hid it in a safe in his home, he plans to use the money to pay off loans, invest and take a vacation.

The lucky own pick ticket was purchased at Reno’s East, 1310 Abbott Rd., in East Lansing.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win and with Kicker, up to a $20 million top prize.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
