Lucky winner claims $110,000 prize

LANSING, February 23, 2006 – A lucky man, who opted to remain anonymous, matched five of five numbers in the Fantasy 5 game to win the $110,000 jackpot.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at the Brookfield Shell Inc., 1831 E. Grand River Ave., in East Lansing.

Fantasy 5 is the Michigan Lottery’s game which replaced Michigan Roll Down. Drawings for the game are held seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
