LANSING, June 9, 2006 - Five lucky finalists who will participate in a drawing for $2 million will be selected by the Michigan Lottery on Friday, June 16.

The finalists will be chosen from those players who win $1,000 on one of the Lottery's $20 Instant tickets: "Millions & Millions", "$2,000,000 Mega Play", "$2,000,000 Cash Casino", "Wild Millions", and "Mega Bucks Jackpot".  Claims of $1,000 prizes made before the close of business on Wednesday, June 14 will qualify for the drawing.  In order to claim a $1,000 prize, winners must redeem their ticket at a Lottery regional office or licensed bank claim center.

Finalists will be notified by phone that day and also by US mail.

Players who redeem $1,000 prizes after that date will be eligible for the next $2 million drawing, which will be conducted this fall.

The grand prize drawing will be conducted at Rhythm & Rhymes from the Hart at the International Freedom Festival in downtown Detroit on Wednesday, June 28.   The drawing will be televised live on WDIV Detroit Local 4 immediately following the fireworks display.
