Fantasy 5 ticket sold in Flint has been claimed

LANSING, June 2, 2008 - The second half of the April 27 Fantasy 5 jackpot has been claimed.

A very lucky anonymous winner claimed $61,016 after matching all five numbers. He split the jackpot with one other person.

The lucky winning own-pick ticket was purchased at Speedway, 6526 Corunna Rd., in Flint.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
