Romulus man claims $110,002

LANSING, July 11, 2008 - The June 24 Fantasy 5 jackpot has been claimed! An anonymous man matched all five numbers, and two other times on the same ticket and a $110,002 prize!

The 29-year-old regular Lottery player selected his own numbers on the ticket.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Farmington Hills Wine & Liquor, 24233 Orchard Lake Rd., in Farmington Hills.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in Michigan.
