LANSING, August 14, 2008 - Michigan has a new
millionaire! Anthony Hool won $1 million on the Lottery's $40,000,000
Spectacular instant game.
The regular Lottery player, from Grand Blanc,
told Lottery officials that the big win "hadn't set in yet."
He plans to put his prize money to good use.
Included are buying a new car for his wife, doing a little house work, and
saving for his children's future.
The winning ticket was purchased at Aremia
Imported Foods, 11230 S. Saginaw St., in Grand Blanc.
$40,000,000 Spectacular is just one of
many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery
retailers statewide.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery
tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state
School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year
2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in
1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in
Michigan.
