Christian Remington of Bath Rides Off On A Harley-Davidson Won In Lottery's "Harley-Davidson" Instant Game!

LANSING, May 15, 2002 – Christian Remington of Bath
was shocked beyond belief when he recently scratched off a Michigan Lottery "Harley-Davidson®" instant game ticket revealing the Harley-Davidson ® Sportster® 1200 Custom motorcycle top prize!

The 46-year-old winner, who works as a concrete superintendent for Duckworth Brothers Inc. in Battle Creek, purchased the winning ticket at Speedway #8740, 13155 U.S. Highway 27, in DeWitt.

"I was on my way to breakfast with my son and decided to stop at Speedway," Remington said. "When I went into the store I saw the Harley-Davidson® tickets and decided to buy one. I scratched it off right away and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw I had won a motorcycle!"

Remington said he and his son were both completely shocked to have a winning ticket and all they could do was stare at it in disbelief.

"My son and I just stared at the ticket for the longest time," the winner said. "We were both stunned and could not stop shaking! I have never won a prize this big. I feel really lucky to have been in the right place at the right time. It is still so hard to believe that I actually won a motorcycle!"

The lucky man, who – as you might imagine – enjoys riding motorcycles in his free time, said he kept the winning ticket locked in a safe prior to turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Lansing.

"I have a 1987 Harley-Davidson® motorcycle and have been wanting to get a new one for a while," Remington said. "I am relieved now that I have turned in the winning ticket because I was really afraid of losing it!"

Remington said he feels very lucky to have won a top Michigan Lottery prize and encourages other Lottery players to keep playing.

"You just have to keep trying," he said. "Don’t get discouraged, because one day you may be in the right place at the right time too!"

"Harley-Davidson®" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
