LANSING, May 30, 2002 – A lucky Cadillac man spelled his way to instant wealth with the Michigan Lottery’s "Coffee Break Bingo!" Upon scratching off the ticket he revealed a $20,000 top prize.

The winning ticket was purchased at West Main Amoco, 4702 W. Main St., in Kalamazoo.

"I scratched the ticket and was shocked to see I had won a $20,000 prize," the winner said.

The 19-year-old winner, who requested anonymity, said he kept the winning ticket in a lock box at all times before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Wyoming. The lucky winner, who enjoys playing hockey and video games in his free time, said he plans to use his winnings to pay for college expenses and to purchase a new television.

"Coffee Break Bingo" is just one of many instant games available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
