James Mackey of Gibraltar Wins $10,000 Prize in Lottery's "Merry Millions" Instant Game!

LANSING, June 4, 2002 – James Mackey of Gibraltar is celebrating Christmas in June this year after scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Merry Millions" instant ticket to reveal a $10,000 prize.

The winning ticket was purchased at Kroger #708, 20645 Gibraltar Road, in Brownstown Township.

"When I scratched off the ticket, I could not believe my eyes. I had to look at it 10 times to make sure I was seeing it correctly!" Mackey said.

Mackey, a 68-year-old retiree, said he plans to use his winnings to pay bills. He added that he enjoys working at a resale shop in his free time. There is no doubt he and his wife, Jane, will enjoy their recent Lottery luck!

"Merry Millions" is just one of many instant games available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
