LANSING, June 13, 2002 – Fore! A lucky Kentwood
man recently hit a hole-in-one playing the "Golf & Cash"
Michigan Lottery instant game to win a $50,000 top prize!
The winning ticket was purchased at Meijer
#158, 1997 E. Beltline Ave. NE, in
Grand Rapids.
The lucky winner, who requested anonymity, said
he was very happy when he looked at the ticket and realized it was a $50,000
winner.
The winner said he kept the winning ticket in his
pocket at all times to ensure its safety before turning it in at the Lottery’s
regional office in Wyoming.
The 29-year-old winner, who is a student, said he
plans to use his winnings to pay bills, and added that he enjoys reading in his
free time.
"Golf & Cash" is just one of many
Michigan Lottery instant games available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers
statewide.
