LANSING, June 14, 2002 – Raccoons and turtles
and bears, oh my! These critters brought a lot of luck to Lisa Staudacher of Beverly
Hills, who recently scratched off a "Michigan Wildlife" instant
ticket worth $6,000!
The lucky ticket was purchased at Kakos
Market, 1555 E. 14 Mile Road, in Birmingham.
"I didn’t believe that I had won the top
prize when I scratched off the ticket," Staudacher said.
The lucky lady, who works as receptionist for
Alan R. Miller, P.C., kept the winning ticket in her handbag at all times to
ensure its safety before turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in
Sterling Heights. The lucky 40-year-old winner added that she plans to use her
winnings to pay bills.
"Michigan Wildlife" is just one of many
Michigan Lottery instant games available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery
retailers statewide.
