LANSING, October 22, 2002 - - A lucky Warren
man is rolling in dough after scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Barrel of
Bucks" instant ticket to reveal a $200,000 top prize.
"I was so excited to win," exclaimed
the winner. "I was with friends when I learned I had won and I high-fived
all of them to celebrate!"
The happy winner, who requested anonymity,
purchased the winning ticket at B & B
Party Store and Sub Shop, 5102 E. 9 Mile Road, in Warren.
Prior to turning in the winning ticket at Lottery
headquarters in Lansing, the winner said he kept it in the pocket of his pants
at all times to ensure its safety. The lucky man, who has been playing the
Lottery’s instant games for the past two years, said he plans to use his
winnings to pay bills and take a trip.
The winner offered the following words of
encouragement to other Lottery hopefuls: "I wish other players good luck!
Remember, there are a lot of big winners out there, so keep playing!"
"Barrel of Bucks" is just one of many
instant games available at more than 9,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
