LANSING, October 22, 2002 - - A Warren man was wild with excitement upon scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Casino Wild" instant ticket to reveal a $100,000 top prize!

"I screamed with excitement when I realized I had won," the winner exclaimed. "I wasn’t even going to buy a ‘Casino Wild’ ticket, but the clerk said they were new and asked if I wanted to try it out. I am glad I did!"

The lucky winner, who requested anonymity, purchased the winning ticket at Amoco-Detroit Donuts, 11660 E. 11 Mile Road, in Warren.

He said he kept the winning ticket hidden in the pocket of an old coat to ensure its safety prior to turning it in at Lottery headquarters in Lansing. The winner, who said he enjoys writing song lyrics and poetry in his spare time, plans to use his winnings to pay bills, purchase a car and buy a new wardrobe for his newborn son.

"You have to play to win," he stated. "Who knows when lady luck is going to smile on you!"
