Agency: Lottery

LANSING, January 8, 2003 &150; Jessica Wright of Harrison Township said she was excited when she recently scratched off a Michigan Lottery "Super 6s" instant game ticket to reveal a $6,000 top prize!

Wright, an accounts receivable manager at Blue Star, Inc., purchased the winning ticket at LaFata’s Market, 31205 23 Mile Road, in New Baltimore.

"This was the first instant ticket I have ever purchased," said the 24-year-old winner. "When I realized I had won a $6,000 top prize, I asked my friend to double-check the ticket because I couldn’t believe it!"

Wright, who enjoys scrapbooking and studying genealogy in her spare time, said she kept the winning ticket in her purse prior to turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights. She told Lottery officials that she plans to use her winnings to pay bills.

"Super 6s" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
