Mark Schoenberg of Livonia Wins a $14,277 Michigan Rolldown Jackpot Prize!

LANSING, January 29, 2003 – Mark Schoenberg of Livonia experienced a little lottery luck upon matching all five numbers in the January 18 Michigan Rolldown drawing to win a $14,277 prize! That day’s winning numbers were: 1, 2, 14, 22 and 25.

In total for the January 18 drawing, 14,191 winners shared $47,925 in prizes. In addition to the sole jackpot winner, 48 winners matched four numbers to win a $122 prize; 1,365 winners matched three numbers to win an $11 prize; and 12,777 winners matched two numbers to win the $1 prize.

The 54-year-old winner purchased the winning ticket at Merriman Drugs, 31320 5 Mile Road, in Livonia.

The lucky winner, who works as a technician for USR Technologies, said he read the winning numbers in a newspaper and was completely surprised to learn that he had won.

The winner, who enjoys hunting in his spare time, said he plans to use his winnings to pay bills and for his daughter’s wedding.The first Michigan Rolldown drawing was held on February 28, 2000. Drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m. The cost to play is $1.00 per wager. Tickets are available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
