LANSING, April 14, 2007 - The second winner of $2
million in the Michigan Lottery's March 31 Super Raffle drawing has claimed her
prize.
The anonymous winner purchased the lucky
ticket at B&B Party Depot in Grand Rapids.
Three other anonymous players who won
$100,000 each also claimed prizes recently. Winning tickets were sold at
Shopper's Market in Warren; Amori's Market in Madison Heights;
and Mac's II in Taylor.
In addition to the above four winners, 18 of the
27 top two tiers of Super Raffle winners have claimed their prizes.
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery
tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state
School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year
2007, the contribution to schools was $748.9 million. Since its inception in
1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $14.3 billion to education in
Michigan.
