Millionaire Raffle

LANSING, May 5 - With more prizes and better odds than ever before, Millionaire Raffle is the hottest ticket this spring!

As with Millionaire Raffles past, a limited number of tickets will be sold- only 600,000 total.

Get your tickets early to save $2 off the purchase of your $20 ticket. The first 100,000 tickets will sell for a discounted $18 each. The remaining 500,000 tickets will be sold for $20 each. Millionaire Raffle tickets went on sale at all Lottery retailers at 6 a.m. today.

In addition to the usual heap of prizes, this Raffle will offer 4,000 prizes of $100. This brings the total number of prizes to a whopping 6,018! Prizes will be awarded in one drawing to be conducted no earlier than June 23 and six prizes of $1 million, 12 prizes of $100,000, 2,000 prizes of $500, and 4,000 prizes of $100 will be given away!

Millionaire Raffle tickets will be available at all Michigan Lottery retailers including Club Keno retailers. Six-digit tickets, beginning with 000001, will be issued in numerical order as sales occur across the state. When ticket number 600,000 is reached, sales will close. Players will not be able to choose their own numbers and must match the exact number as drawn by the Lottery.

Players will be able to check winning numbers on the Lottery's Web site at www.michigan.gov/lottery, at Lottery retailers or at Lottery regional offices throughout the state.

Players with winning tickets of either $1 million or $100,000 will need to contact the Lottery at 517-373-1237 to schedule an appointment to claim their prize.

All proceeds from the Millionaire Raffle, as well as from all other Lottery games, are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2007, the contribution was $748.9 million.
