LANSING, October 9, 2003 Danny Bruff of Lapeer and M.L. Geiger of Troy are each a little
richer after both matching all five numbers on two different tickets in the October 6 Michigan Rolldown drawing. Each winner took home
a $6,570 prize, before taxes. The winning numbers for that day’s drawing were: 1, 3, 21, 24 and 30.
The total jackpot prize pool for the October 6 Michigan Rolldown drawing was $13,140, so each jackpot
winner received $6,570 before taxes. In total for the October 6 drawing, 13,699 winners shared $45,210 in prizes. In
addition to the two jackpot winners, 49 winners matched four numbers to win a $110 prize; 1,448 winners matched three numbers to win a $10
prize; and 12,200 winners matched two numbers to win the $1 prize.
Bruff purchased the winning ticket at Pick Up N Go Mart, 1489 N. Main St., in Lapeer.
Geiger, a retired engineer, purchased the winning ticket at Birmingham Drugs Inc., 33877 Woodward Ave.,
in Birmingham.
The lucky man said he was very surprised to be a winner. Prior to turning in his winning ticket at the
Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights, Geiger said he kept it in his pocket at all times to ensure its safety. He added that he
plans to use his winnings to pay bills.
Michigan Rolldown drawings are held six days a week Monday through Saturday at 7:29 p.m., and the
cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
