What are the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease?

 1. 

It has a gradual onset. People with Alzheimer’s disease do not suddenly experience memory loss, confusion or impairment. Memory loss and forgetfulness are typical early symptoms and common in most people with Alzheimer’s disease.

 

 2. 

The person may have difficulty performing familiar tasks.

 

 3.

Problems with language can occur.

 

 4.

Learning new skills becomes difficult as the disease progresses.

 

 5.

Doing complex tasks becomes impossible.

 

 6. A person with Alzheimer’s disease will eventually need constant supervision and assistance.
