Annually, the MCSC grants more than $6.9 mission in federal funds to local communities for a variety of volunteer-focused initiatives:
Michigan's AmeriCorps is a domestic version of the Peace Corps where teams of individuals serve in communities addressing local issues such as the environment, education, public safety, and other human needs.
Learn and Serve - Michigan School-Based funds are granted to schools to engage their students in service-learning-real hands-on learning-through planned curriculum that involves community service.
Volunteer Investment Grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations that serve as community-wide volunteer resource centers to establish local endowment funds to support community volunteer activities in perpetuity.
