The goal of this site is to ensure that the legal use of resistered pesticides does not adversely impact endangered species. This site provides references to information necessary to make pesticide use decisions that help protect endangered species and the habitat necessary for their survival. It is a violation of state and federal law to use a pesticide inconsistent with label use directions.

This page constains two types of information. One is general information about all federally listed endangered species thought to occur in Michigan. This information is provided by the Michigan Natural Features Inventory and the US Fish & Wildlife Service, including photographs for identification, critical habitat description and limited species location. Links are listed below each species name.

For some species the US EPA imposes regulatory restrictions on pesticide usage. EPA provides details in "county bulletins" and on pesticide labels. For those counties with a published bulletin of pesticide application restrictions, a note and a link is indicated below. If the pesticide label of the product being used requires the appplicator to comply with endangered species county bulletin information, such restrictions must be followed.
