Separate Licenses
A separate license is required for each location where business is conducted. For example, if a business has a store in Detroit and one in Traverse City, a separate license is required for each store.

For the Nursery Stock Dealer and Grower License, print both pages of the application, fill in the required information, and send the completed application with a check or money order to:

• Completed application forms may also be turned in to any MDA Regional office.
• License Applications may also be obtained from the MDA Regional Office near you. 

Attention Growers
No application form is required to obtain a Grower License. Growers should contact their MDA regional office to request an inspection. A Grower License will be issued by the Lansing licensing staff upon receiving a satisfactory inspection report from the field inspector and payment in full of the inspection fee.

License Expiration
All licenses expire on October 31 and must be renewed on a yearly basis.

License Processing Time
Processing time varies, depending on the workload at the licensing office in Lansing. When a large volume of licenses have been received, it may take up to six weeks for processing. Minimum processing time is 3 weeks.
